Strengthening Community Action in Advancing Resilient Livelihood (SACAR) is implemented in all wards of Bannigadhi Jayagadh Rural Municipality through 65 Farmer groups. This project aims to improve the livelihood of the farmers through interventions based on agriculture production focusing on the value chain commodities like potato, tomato, vegetables, ginger and turmeric. Farmer groups, cooperatives and collection centers are institutional mechanisms through which interventions are channelized to poor, marginalized and smallholder farmers. Bringing in the activities to maximize the productivity and production along with coverage of the market aspect through cooperatives, collection center was the major theme to boost the value chain in the working area. There are 6 cooperatives, 2 collection center and 65 Farmers groups under SACAR. There are total of 4 full time staffs working in field to office level to finish the activities. The project is on implementation for period of 2017 AD to 2019 AD.
