Sustainable Use of Technology for Public Sector Accountability in Nepal-SUSASAN
- Sustainable Use of Technology for Public Sector Accountability in Nepal program is implementing in Achham district with coverage of 2 local structures Sanfebagar municipality & Bannigadi Jayagdh rural municipality. MDO Nepal has been working for awareness/access of poor women, girls, minority, ethnicity & socially excluded people in good governance. This project will help to strengthen the situation of local level governance, to make transparency, responsible for service providers and to address the counts of citizens.
- Citizens felt to have no responsibility in accountability and transparency. People were not able to get the benefit of service facilities to be available at local level. The problems were increasing due to lack of local government responsible for the public. But country has completed the election in all level and the government is evolving. This has certainly impacted on local level government and its working modality as well. After local people's representatives come to the local level, the expectations of the people are expected to be addressed correctly. SUSASAN project will facilitate to address issues of the public at the local level. SUSASAN project will help WMG to engage in democratic decision-making and their assistance will increase the prosperity of working area. The government will enable those groups to facilitate the priority of the WMG community in the organization structure. The SUSASAN Project will give the emphasis on the empowerment of civil society organizations while facilitating the right to affect the affected service facility by developing the capacity of the civil society organization. At the overall level, the project will help to develop the capabilities of the civil society organizations and to create strong society by ensuring the participation in their democratic decision-making.
